My name is Carolyn C. Czichos and I have the artist's name cosma terra ccc. Cosma terra means for me the universal spirit also here in Earth World. Born in Texas, with my immigration in 1983 to Germany, I returned to the partly frankonian roots of my mother. Due to my own family and life focus in Frankonia, the greatest part of my artistic and other work has been in this part of Germany.

Artistic abilities were evident since early school years. In grade school one of my drawings was included in a school students exhibition in the Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston. As a young adult I studied and received degrees in psychology with social work and a combined bachelor and master's degree in architecture. Parallel to my major program of studies and work also as a teaching assistant, among other activities, I additionally took university classes in art, as well as in journalism, video filming, television and film. During my psychology studies I attended art classes with Brother Hilarion Brezik in basic and advanced drawing, with Tony Bass in drawing portraits. In my years as an architecture student, I did follow my interest in collage, doing collages which I'd reproduce and vary the colors with the then novel color photocopy machines. Additionally, I designed and drew posters or signs for various uses, like band performances in Austin. Planning as a student for after graduation, to be a journalist, film maker about architecture, after a significant life change in 1990, with increased family responsibility as an unexpected and sudden single mother of three small children, (one with special needs), I started to focus more on doing art in my free time.

It came about that the collage art works first were primarily a representation of people, scenes of life, other-wordly or soulfull daydream experiences. With a first exhibition with another artist in 1993 in the City Hall Exhibit Halls of the City of Forchheim, many of the visitors were asking what the stories were behind the artworks. After that, I started to do some combinations of collage and short belletristic texts, and also a first novella developed, "I Follow the Water".

At the end of the 1990's, inspired by my interest in beautiful interior tiles, I began to create an own unique form of collage art. Out of magazine photo cutouts and patterns on paper, I made collage tiles which I then scaned into a computer and put together for art quality foto prints. From 1999 until 2020 I was active as an independent artist.

From 2004 - 2011 and again from 2018 until 2020 I offered intuitive, holistic advising, instruction, meditation, holistic self-sustainable life style coaching and courses on an individual inquiry basis.

As well, since 2005 I sing meditatively my own songs and lyrics as such, for guided meditations or, (sometimes as a type of performance art), with the particular themes and seasonal energies, at times with art installations.

In 2007, I was further inspired to start doing my own form of light art, in which I combine various candle lights, specially formed or facetted glass candle holders or bowls and semi-precious stones. Using knowledge of geomancy and the medicine wheel, it is possible for me to create beautiful patterns and positive energies for a place and event based on the combined energies of these, based as well on the light patterns the candles in the glass forms create.

In 2016, also under the name of cosma terra ccc, I continued to self publish my yearly Moon Month Calendar and did this until 2021; the calendar is currently in pause status, to be continued at a currently unknown later time. With the edition for 2020, the 10th year anniversary of the Moon Month Calendar was celebrated. Currently retired, I do offer some limited appointments for voluntary private exchange on information and methods on the topics of holistic existence of people, nature, Earth, some geomantic or nature perception activities in addition to some writing, art, singing and dancing with spirit..

Meine Name ist Carolyn C. Czichos, und ich bin gebürtige Texanerin, mit den Künstlername cosma terra ccc. Cosma terra bedeutet für mich sowas wie das universelle Bewusstsein auch in Erdwelt. Mit meiner Übersiedlung in 1983 nach Deutschland, bin ich zurückgekehrt zu den teils fränkischen Wurzeln meiner Mutter. Wegen meinen eigenen Familien- und Lebensmittelpunkt in Franken, ist bisher der Großanteil meines selbständige und künstlerischen Schaffens in diesem Teil Deutschlands gewesen.

Künstlerische Fähigkeiten hatten sich schon seit der Schulzeit bei mir gezeigt. Eine meine Schülerzeichnungen würde mit in eine Schülerkunstausstellung in der Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston aufgenommen. Als junge Erwachsene habe ich Universitätsstudien der Psychologie, Sozial Arbeit und Architektur absolviert. Parallel dazu habe ich gearbeitet u.A. als Lehrassistentin, für kreatives Schreiben, und für technischen Systemen in der Architektur. Während der Psychologiestudium habe ich mit Professor Bruder Hilarion Brezik Anfang und Fortgeschrittene Zeichnung studiert und mit Professor Tony Bass Portraitzeichnung studiert. Während meiner Architektur Studienzeit habe ich zusätzlich Kurse in Journalismus, Fernsehen, Video und Film absolviert. Auch während der Architekturstudiumszeit habe ich meine Vorliebe für Collage ausgebaut, und damit durch Farbfotokopie Papieroriginal Collage farblich verändert und vervielfältigt. Zusätzlich habe ich Erfahrung gesammelt mit den Gestaltung und Zeichnung von Plakate für diverse Zwecke wie für Bandauftritte in Austin. Ich hatte bei meine zweite Studium vor danach als Journalist, Filmemacherin über Architektur zu arbeiten. Aber, nach einer schicksalshaften Lebenswende in 1990, neben einer größeren familiären Verpflichtung als unerwartet plötzlich Alleinerziehende von drei Kindern (eins davon mit Sonderbedarf), habe ich angefangen in meinen wenigen Freizeit sich meinem größten Vergnügen, der Kunst zu widmen.

Es stellte sich heraus, dass die bildhaften Fotocollage Kunstwerke vorerst meine Hauptkunstausdrucksform war. Bei einer ersten Ausstellung mit einer anderen Künstlerin in 1993 in den Rathaushallen der Stadt Forchheim kam heraus bei den Besuchern, dass sie gerne die Geschichten die hinter den Kunstwerke vermutet werden könnten, gewusst hätten. Mitte der 90-er Jahre habe ich dann angefangen einzelne Collagekunstwerke mit kurzen poetischen, literarischen Texten zu kombinieren. Daraus ist nach und nach eine erste Novelle, "Ich Folge dem Wasser" entstanden.

Am Ende von den 90-er Jahren war ich durch meine Vorliebe für Innenbau Kacheln inspiriert zu einen weitere Form der Collage, in dem ich Papiercollagefliesen herstellte, diese in eine Computer einscannte, diese zusammenstellte und daraus Kunstfoto Qualität Digitaldrückvorlagen damit herstellte.

Ab 2004 - 2011 und wieder ab 2018 bis 2020 bietete ich intuitive, ganzheitliche Beratung, Anleitung, Meditation, ganzheitleiche Selbst-erhaltende Lebensstil Coaching, Kurse und Naturwahrnehmungsführungen auf eine individuelle Nachfrage Basis.

Zusätzlich, singt ich seit 2005 meditativ eigens komponierte, geschriebene Lieder so, für geführte Meditationen zu diverse seelische und spirituelle Themen und jahreszeitliche Energien, manchmal auch mit Kunstwerke.

In 2007, war ich weiter inspiriert um eine eigene Form der Lichtkunst zu machen. Diese kombiniert ich mit Wissen über die Energien von Mineralien, geomantisches Wissen, Wissen von den Medizinrad. Verschiedene Gläsbehälter und -schusseln werden zusammenstellt mit Kerzen in bestimmte Muster um schöne Lichtmustern und Energien damit zu erzeugen.

Ab 2016, auch unter der Name von cosma terra ccc in habe ich weiter mit selbst-veröffentlichung meinen jahrlichen Mondmonat-Kalender gemacht bis 2021; der weitere Arbeit damit ist momentan in eine Pausenphase und wird noch fortgesetzt zu eine noch unbekannte Zeit. Der Ausgabe des Mondmonat-Kalenders für 2020 war der 10-Jahrige Jubiliäums Ausgabe. Aktuell, neben dem Berentetsein, biete ich, macht ich auf begrenzte private Basis frewillige Informations- und Methodenvermittlung für ganzheitliches Leben, Naturverbindungstouren sowie schreibe ich, macht Kunst, Gesang und Bewegung mit Spirit.
